My son got into Perler (or Hama, or whatever they're really called) beads. After looking up countless pixel art patterns for him to use with the beads, I started dabbling in pixel art. (It reminds me of Deluxe Paint, on the Amiga!) There is a nice little free web/download app called
Piskel that has the
just-right amount of function to make fun little guys like this. After working in 3d so much the quick, simple results of drawing sprites is quite refreshing!
